Eligibility for Homeless HEAL:
All grade levels of students are encouraged to apply (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate Student, Returning Student) from any university (community college, higher education, etc.).
Homeless HEAL seeks applicants who have a strong level of understanding in the biological, chemical, and physical mechanisms of the human body.
Potential Student Educators must be available 1-2 Saturdays a quarter in order to remotely teach to the facilities and shelters we serve.
Homeless HEAL Teaching and Volunteering during COVID-19:
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all classes taught by Student Educators and led by Lead Instructors will be done so remotely in order to prioritize the health and safety of organization members and those from the homeless facilities and shelters we serve. Until it is publicly and governmentally established safe to do so (when a vaccine is approved and publicly available), classes will remain to be taught remotely for current and subsequent quarters.
